Standard or Customized Designs
Chose from one of our standard designs for either Vertical or Horizontal type furnaces. Or we can work with you to develop a new or customized design. Both Profile and Spike thermocouples are available in the following Pt-Rh noble metal calibration types: Type-B, Type-R and Type-S. They are also available in base metal calibration Type-K and Type-N. Standard wire sizes are 0.020” (0,5mm) and 0.010” (0,25mm) with optional size 0.014” (0,35mm) also available.
Calibration Data
Various types of calibration data are available with your purchase. Conax can provide a Bulk Wire Calibration Certificate that provides calibration results at standard temperatures on each lot of wire prior to production. We can also provide calibration of our Profile thermocouple in chart form over a defined temperature range. All calibration are conducted under guidance of our quality system certified to ISO 9001:2008, and are traceable to NIST through Conax’s Primary and Working Standards.
State-of-the-Art Production Room
The manufacturing of Conax Profile and Spike Thermocouples takes place in a dedicated production area within the Conax facility to insure the sensors are clean and free of contamination. Assembly technicians work at laminar flow tables to minimize particle contamination, and they always wear lint free elastomer gloves when handling the component and the finished assemblies.
Reclamation Program
The cost of platinum and rhodium noble metal thermocouples is expensive and can vary significantly with the market fluctuations in pricing of the materials. To help mitigate these uncertainties, Conax offers a platinum and rhodium reclamation program. Old noble metal thermocouples can be returned to Conax for credit which is then applied toward the purchase of new units. The returned thermocouples do not have to be of Conax origin.
